We've come back with a bang!

We are proud to present you the new Harbour Express! We're here to provide independent, quality journalism for you, here in Hong Kong. For weeks, we at Time 4 Change have been discussing the future of our media wing and how we can make it better, and make it work for you. This refresh for the Harbour Express, an institution for Hongkongers, signals a new era for Time 4 Change.

Changes include the creation of a new politics section, with columns such as John Bawltrey's Breakdown and James Harrett's Between the Lines becoming a greater presence here at the Express. The daily op-ed by our Politics Editor Linda Horman, 'Horman's Point', continues. 

Our Lifestyle section has changed significantly, with the resignation of our Lifestyle Editor Cameron Bougie to pursue a career in full-time activism. Our new Lifestyle Editor is the former Hong Kong Style Editor Emily Stun, and we will retain Mr. Bougie for his regular fashion column 'Catwalk'. New additions such as 'The Life' and 'Treat Me' will continue this paper's long tradition of supporting local businesses and covering them regularly.

Our magazine, the Review, will also have a new editor, with Michael Corr serving as its new Editor. Michael was previously a HKMag journalist and deputy editor who famously co-wrote the 'Young Voices' piece. The Review's Deputy Editor Susan Ho will become its Senior Deputy Editor.

The Express is proud to have such a talented team and I hope our pieces reflect that,

James Harrett looks at the issues. Recent polls showing sustained support for Scottish independence, in the wake of Covid-19 and Brexit, are worrying for the future of the union. However, the British government has its levers and its solutions to this problem. The precedent set by the 2014 referendum was that if the ruling pro-independence Scottish National Party (SNP) was to win a majority in Holyrood (the Scottish Parliament), there would be an agreement between the two governments of a referendum.
